Hi can anyone of you help? i'm very worried. i've ordered a gliga from liz and i've sent the money via paypal yesterday late evening. the money has been cashed but from that time till now i've had no feedback from them. i've emailed various times and also called once but no answer. is it possible that something went wrong? can anyone suggest what might have happened? Liz usually replies so promptly that's why i'm worried.

I can understand your worries, but many people on the forum have recommended Liz in the past, so I'm sure there's a simple explanation. Perhaps they are away for the weekend?

Oh i just hope so but i was in touch with her just before i made the payment and then poof, nothing else. I'm not thinking badly about their company cause otherwise they wouldn't have gotten so much praise but i'm scared.

I wouldn't expect a small business to be necessarily operating at the weekend. Time enough to panic if you still haven't heard by Monday afternoon.... I am sure there is no problem.

There will be no problem at all, honestly. Liz and David are VERY honest people and run a good business - of course, they aren't open at weekends, so you probably won't get a response until Monday - which seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I've ordered several items from Liz without any problems. It's possible Liz and David aren't around at the weekend so I wouldn't worry just yet. If you paid late last night, it's probably not 24 hours since sent your payment, so no need to panic just yet! I reckon you'll have your violin by Wednesday!

It's not that they're closed, it's just that they aren't actually a shop - but a mail order business that they run from home to keep costs reasonable for their clients. This means that they are unlikely to do business at the weekend as they, quite rightly, probably expect a rest!

Noodle's upped the bet, eh... right, I bet you'll have your fiddle by Wednesday at 16h37 !

...and they also don't have enough room at home to keep all their stock. It is kept at a storage depot and they only visit it at set times each week, which I wouldn't imagine is at the weekend, other than in an emergency.

Hi, thanks for your comments. very reassuring as usual. They've replied so panic vanished!! They're shipping it on Monday. Do you really think it could be here by Wednesday? Well, i'll keep you posted. i wish it would arrive asap! i think you know what it feels like to wait for a new instrument. it just seemed incredible. it all started at a mass i went when i saw a child playing and i thought "I've wanted to try to learn, now i have nothing to lose so why not?" and here i am waiting for it to come. It's been quite tough though cause i analyse and reanalyse everything but i've done it and i'm satisfied now.

oops, reply deleted..... It's past my bedtime and it seems I can't read the question straight.

You need to have the url for it first - so it has to be online somewhere which is a bit of a pain. Once you have the url you just hit the "insert image" icon and copy the url into the box that comes up.

Does anyone know why the 'quote' and 'reply' options at the bottom of the posts with the pic of the cat are missing? They are both there on all other posts in this thread!

They are there on mine. But, because the picture is a bit wider than messages usually are on my screen, they're displaced a bit to the right, and if the picture had been any wider than that they'd be situated just off the right side of my screen. In which case I would have had to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to find them.

Open a Photobucket account, upload your picture to it, then you will see the url. I just copy and paste it into the thread.

It's a lot easier than it sounds.
