Does anyone here play jazz violin? I would really like to expand my repertoire beyond the generally accepted 'classical' pieces, but have no idea where to start! Or, maybe there's something else I could look into? Any ideas greatly appreciated! smile.gif

i don't actually know anything about jazz violin, but the people i know who do seem to spend a lot of time listening to stuff with headphones and then memorising it, singing it, and playing it.... tongue.gif

Yes and I teach it too! At home, at workshops and on a university jazz module! Where do you live?
