Just wondered if anyone could help me with this. I have a lesson on Monday so it's not a huge deal but it would be nice to present my teacher with something slightly better than what I have now!
The bit I'm talking about is on the last page in my edition (Schott). There've been 3 quaver low Bs and then there's the really high bit with lots of open Es. What do you do? I guess string crossing is easier than climbing around?
Sorry for being dumb...I appreciate this isn't the easiest question to answer by typing!
Do you mean the weird semiquaver passage?
I think you're supposed to play open strings as marked (I've got the same edition): some of the Es aren't marked as open. It fits the pattern - every third note is an open. It's a bit like one of the Bach Partitas... it's a mathematical pattern.
That doesn't stop it being annoying

Have fun with it - it's great to play
