HI everyone! I was just browsing this website a few days ago, and they sell very low price instruments etc, but when I saw this bow advertised as being made from pernambuco and being sold for £29.99, I had to stop and wonder how it can possibly be so cheap, since any other pernambuco bow seems to cost over £80. I just wondered if anybody had any opinions on this?

The bottom line is, Chinese makers will pretty much tell you what you want to hear, that seems to be how they do business. Chances are it's actually Manilkara Kauki, that seems to be "Chinese pernambuco". We would pay more than that as direct improters to get a pernambuco bow from our China contact, but then of course a bigger company can get a much better price than we could.
