Hi everybody! smile.gif

I've been looking for lots of pieces that I could learn recently, and I'm stuck on ideas. sad.gif
I have just got copies of the Promenade from Pictures at an Exhibition, Arabesque No.1 by Debussy, Nocturne No.20 by Chopin and Clair de Lune by Debussy, but I was wondering whether there are any pieces you know that would be suitable for me to play? I am learning all these pieces but I really like to get lots of different things to tackle so I can interchange (I get bored very easily) blush.gif

I'm about Grade 7 but anything up to about hardish Grade 8 would be fine. If it helps, my favourite composers are Debussy, Chopin and Liszt. smile.gif
So, any pieces you would recommend?

There is a lovely piece by Chopin that I've been learning recently - Prelude in Db Major 'Raindrop'. I love it and it's a delight to play.

There's also a lovely Prelude in F sharp major by Chopin. Also, many of Chopin's Waltzes would be suitable.

The worlds your mollusc, pretty much

Obviously anything by Debussy, Chopin, or Liszt (within reason - if you can play the Grand Chromatic Gallop then I want lessons from you!!)

But to broaden your horizons:

There's a book published called "World-renowned Piano Pieces" (there are two volumes actually) which has a good variation of stuff at about your level - quite a bit of Debussy and Chopin and Liszt - the Chopin Waltz in C# minor is one of my favourites at the moment!
