I picked up a leaflet yesterday advertising a sponsored Pianothon which is to be held in Wolsey Place, Woking (middle of a busy shopping mall) on Saturday 15 March from 10.00 to 4.00. It is in aid of the Woking Hospice and the Young Musicians' Trust. A local piano shop is providing a "quality grand piano" for the participants to play on and it is open to all levels and ages, with duets especially welcome. Apparently this is an annual event, though I have not heard of it before. Details are available from the organiser and if anyone is interested I'll give the phone number via a pm. I can't go myself as I have another event on that day, but it could be worth remembering for next year.

What a great idea. Unfortunately I'm at the other end of the country but hope it goes well & you raise bag loads of money.

Yes, I hope they do - the organisation is nothing to do with me. I just picked up the advertising leaflet.
