a friend of mine just bought a keytar. im interested in learning more about them [his will take about a month to arrive] from people that have them and play them.

that apply to anyone on here?

You saw a lot of them in the 80's. They are keyboards that you play hung round your neck like a guitar.

Horrible things with a nasty sound - but that's just my opinion laugh.gif

You could try youtube as I'm sure there's bound to someone playing one there somewhere **shudder**

I didn't know either, and I looked it up on google - I had no idea they were still around.

Have they improved the tone quality in the interim I wonder?

Hmm, yeah, bit of an 80's throwback methinks... Shalamar springs to mind wacko.gif Theres a bunch of vids on youtube pertaining to these devices. I tried watching, lasted about 55secs with the sound turned down. Not for me. hides.gif
