hi im hoping someone can help.i have just started playing jazz/blues piano but i cant work out the fingering for scales.i only want to know the basic keys of c,d,e,f,g,a.as far as i can work out the fingering for blues rh is 1234 121.is the lh 54321 21?pentatonic-rh 123 121 lh 321 321?
if somebody could let me know if this right because there is nothing worse than starting a new scale with the wrong fingering.thankyou sonata

Have a look in the AB's Jazz Piano Scales Book. It's useful to buy for the scales you haven't even thought of yet!

I use 1234131 for blues RH scales...
Sure it doesn't make a lot of difference though!

Goodness! ohmy.gif - I couldn't imagine attempting it without the book.

Is it me or are Jazz scales easier than classical - in terms of the exam requirements?. I've never managed scales before and now I find I can do G2 without much effort. I don't want to look ahead any further until after my G1 exam though, in case I get fuddled.
