I have recently bought a new tuba, german model with a rotary valve system. The thing is, I don't know how to oil it - does anyone else know? I have two teachers, and neither of them know either, and I wasn't clever enough to ask when I bought it, but the dude gave me a thing of valve oil as I left the shop...

Now that I think about it, I have never needed to oil my rotary valve tuba. I would THINK that it would be as simple as taking the metal cap off and applying a little bit of oil to the insides.
