Right so I'm about grade 8 standard and at the moment I'm working to extend my repetoire. I've been looking at some of the following...

Sonata in A minor - Mozart

Etude in E flat major - Chopin

Fantasie Impromptu - Chopin

Some of the Prelude and Fugues from the Well Tempered Clavier by Bach.

Any other suggestions?

Schubert impromptus? The Eb one that I'm learning at the moment is very nice, and I think it's on the ATCL reportoire list. Also Mozart's Sonata in Bb is nice too (in the 2nd volume of sonatas).

Yes, 3 suggestions:

1. Try the current grade 7 & 8 list pieces, especially list C
2. Try the pieces on the diploma repertoire list: Don't get scared off, that's where you should be aiming!
3. Ask your teacher, who will have a better idea of where your strengths and weaknesses lie.

Have fun!
