Just come back from my first piano lesson in absolutely ages. Was dreading it, but knew it had to be done in order to become a better woodwind teacher. Anyway, I went in expecting to go back to grade 5 or something feeling that my playing had gone down hill, and after playing a couple of pieces she thought I was probably grade 6/7 standard which is great! Means my playing has got better - woo! I'm so chuffed. Decided to work on grade 6 for the moment till I get back into the swing of things. I was impressed at how well I had remembered all the scales too!
