Hello everyone

I was listening to Chopin`s Piano Concerto No.1 - Romanze Larghetto, and I was wondering if anyone have previous experience here playing it?

I`m about GR.7 standard and I would like to play it for a solo, with another piano ofcourse (orchestral parts). I looked at the score, it didnt seem that hard - Ive done his Andante Spianato, its sort of the same...

Any comments would be appreciated

Thanks,

Chris

You've played the Andante Spinato and you're grade 7? blink.gif

Yes I have - Is it actually THAT difficult? I spended quite some time on it, even before I was Gr7, but it isnt that hard - emotionally its more difficult , I`ll say biggrin.gif But remember, only the Spianato part, not the Polonaise Brilliante tongue.gif

I also thought: Polonaise Brillante....Grade 7; a bit eery to my ears...

Have you had a go at actually playing it? Be careful of the passages with double notes in the right hand - you will have to work on bringing out the top notes. It also needs a lot of interpretation and a good judgement of rubato to pull it off. It is a lovely work, if I may say so myself! biggrin.gif

Try it...I'm g6 and having a go with Clair de Lune...it's really good fun, and then when I am up to standard, I will be able to play it a lot easier(-ly?)

Thanks for the replies, I`ll try it - allready did the first page, looks ok, but the devil is in the details I know...
