Full Version: What Kind Of Violin Was It?

Once I lived in Australia for a while and a friend of my aunty played a violin but with a major difference, it had a trumpet type horn fitted to the end.

It would make my mum very happy if we knew what this thing was.

The ole fella playing used to go busking and was quite successful by all accounts.

Any ideas? unsure.gif

Hi josax, there is a photo of a man playing one in 'the gypsy fiddler' for violin published by Boosey & Hawkes but it does not say anything about it.
