Hi all,
I'm an adult learner who have just started my violin lesson recently. I'm wondering which tuition book you guys have been using. Any recommendation?
Thanks so much in advance!

I used the violin book in the Team Strings series. I thought it was quite useful.

My teacher swears by "A Tune a Day" . I used it up to book 3 and found it very good. I'm an adult beginner and have just passed Grade 4 after playing for 18 months - so it obviously works!

My sister used Abracadabra Violin and I used A Tune A Day... I heard that the Eta Cohen books can be good too.

If you are starting lessons then most likely your teacher will have books which he/she prefers to use.

As a supplement, I recommend Essential Elements 2000 for Strings Violin Book 1 by Hal and Leonard. It has included a orchestral accompaniment in the form of 3 CDs. It can be played in a computer also if it has a sound card. $ 6.95 US. My wife uses it and she loves it. There are about 190 exercises on it . In the beginning there are 4 measures an exercise.
