As mentioned a while ago, Yorkshire Late Starters Strings is holding a workshop day playing chamber music on Saturday, August 18th. We still have a few places left and priority will be given to viola players.

The day will consist of whole group and small ensembles with local professional tutors, some of whom are players with Opera North. Since there is often a shortage of 1st violinists on such days, we are also offering a number of places to flute players. Participants ranging in standard from Grade 1 to Grade 8 are invited to join us. Atmosphere is informal with the emphasis on enjoyment!

I see it's held at the Yorkshire College of Music & Drama, which a lot of people get mixed up with one of the other music colleges in the city. It might be a good idea to put the address of the college on the info given wink.gif

Would love to come, but I'm in London that day. It's the same every time. Whenever something musical comes up, I'm either somewhere else or should have been (like with the only time I did join in anything - I should have been somewhere else!!!). So, I send my best wishes and hope I can come another time. I almost certainly won't be able to though, if the past is anything to go by! Even concerts I'm interested in going to are always on days I can't possibly go. It's like there's a universal jinx on my doing anything musical!!! laugh.gif
