I have just heard that my daughter has got a place to play the trombone at the Massive Brass Play In that is being organised as part of the Proms on July 28th and wondered if anyone else is going.

I really wanted to go to that! I got as far as finding where I could get tickets and finding accommodation before I realised I was already playing in a concert that day sad.gif Sounds like it should be great though...

Brass Massive - 28 July 10am-12pm

Fancy being part of Brass Day? If you play a brass instrument and you can bring it along, come and join Brass Massive. Come and join a team of professionals for a two hour brass workshop at the Royal College of Music culminating in the first ever performance of the Proms brass Fanfare on the steps of the Royal Albert Hall, announcing to the world at large that Brass Day is well and truly under way.

This event is free. To find out more email promslearning@bbc.co.uk or call 020 7765 2679.

I saw it, and immediately wanted to go - but I'm away while its going on so I'm really annoyed as they have a different specialty every year, and NOW it decides they'll do brass - when I can't come!! sad.gif

See you there Frumbybabes!

I thought everyone here would already know about it. I found it because I took my daughter to a Proms concert last year and she wanted to go to another one this year so I was looking to see what was on when we are in the UK.

See you there! Not sure how we'll meet up!

My 11 yr old son is in red group and the 8yr is in blue group with your daughter no doubt so maybe we will be in the same group.

Husband and son are both pitching up with their cornets. Or maybe trumpets, they need to decide.

Should be awesome, hope I can sit in and watch

It was a good day. We stayed to the concert in the afternoon and the Uzbek trumpeters were brilliant.
