What are evrybodies ideas on strings? I am never sure which ones to go for...medium or hard tension??? Does anybody have any information on which are the best to use? What are the main pros and cons of each type?

Here's my thought FWIW! The classical guitar unlike most other guitars does'nt generally have a metal truss rod for support. That being the case it would be advisable not to put to much stress on the neck of the guitar. I always use standard gage classical strings and preferably D'Addario. These can be purchased in bulk form the USA for about £2.50 for 10 or in the UK for about £8-£9 per individual set. Check out www.ebay.com lots of offers there. Las thing you want to do is warp the neck of your guitar esp if it is a good quality instrument. I use J27's. I try and change my strings every 4-6 weeks.

No thats £2.50 for a complete set of 6. The USA is considerably cheaper for strings.

To be quite honest, I find rubber bands to be quite satisfactory. They are very cheap and produce a unique tone!
