I've just finished 2nd movmnt Moonlight Sonata - yippeee !

The trouble is, I can't decided how sharp to play staccato.

I've got a CD but it sounds quite sharp and bouncy. My teacher says it should be delicate as it is played piano.


I realise it's your own interpretation to a point or maybe down to the fact I have only just completed it in the space of a little over a week.

I just wanted some advice.

Personally I agree with your teacher but I do think that it's up to you, whatever you feel sounds right probably is.

I'll keep working on it until it feels as part of me as the 1st movement.

I'm probably just expecting too much after a week !

I know !

I think it's gonna be a while yet though.

My teacher said there isn't much point playing the 2nd movmt as it's a bridge piece. But he knows I'll end up completing all of it at some stage.

It dosen't actually seem that hard with the arppeg's an all.
It's more like the speed of it !!!!

I don't think it will take just over a week though like the 2nd...mmm

But yes. At some point I will play it.

2 mvmts down, 1 to go, full sonata !

How are you getting on with your piano stuff ?

mm it might take a little bit longer to learn the 3rd than the 2nd!!

piano is going ok, still waiting for my grade 4 results, i hope they come before i go on my hols!

so im busy practising my grade 5 stuff and looking at grade 6. oh and playing lots of Einaudi!!

I hope your results come b4 then too.

Speaking of Ludovico, I keep hearing him on different adverts on telly.

We must keep an eye out for when he's coming around again !
