I remember playing pachabels canon last year wiht the school orchestra. Lucky the 1st and 2nd violin are similar, or I'd been very jelous of the 1sts

It's so true! I played first violin in a quartet for one of my AS music performances and we did Pachabells Cannon. I felt so sorry for the cellist, especially considering all the other parts are so nice and interesting.

I played the double bass for canon in D in the school orchestra for a concert and it was awful, we lost track of where we were, we lost the music, the only thing keeping us both awake was playing it in different positions!!
