I'm taking my grade 3 violin in the summer, after starting a year ago.

I'm doing:

the Beethoven
the Dancla Air de Ballet
and Ain't Misbehavin'

Who else is taking Grade 3, what pieces are you doing?

Hi

I took my grade 3 violin 28 March, still awaiting results!

I did, romance, watkins ale and down by the riverside.

Think it went OK, but obviously have to wait and see!

I'm hoping to do my Grade 3 in November, and Grade 4 in Scottish fiddle, but I haven't seen any of the pieces yet. Are the scales really scary? blink.gif laugh.gif party1.gif

Hiya Lottie,

Are you doing your grade 4 Scottish fiddle with ABRSM or LCM?

Just wondering !

Oh, and I have some recordings for you, just need to put them on CD.

If you took your exam in March (in the UK?) I think I'd be asking ABRSM by now where the result is. If you didn't enter yourself, the person who did will need to ask.

This is an extraordinarily long time to wait - I've never had to wait that long. I'd check up it hasn't got lost somewhere. Do you know if the entry was made on-line? If so, you could check out it hasn't been posted there.

Sorry if you've already done all these things but I'm really surprised it's so long (if you mean March) and you haven't heard.

Hope it's good news when you do. smile.gif

Hi Allan
I don't know which board - I'll ask 'Teach' next week biggrin.gif I muttered something about doing grade 2 Scottish to get into the discipline of memorising and 'Teach' said to go straight onto Grade 4. We'll start looking at the pieces after my Grade 2 exam in June.

Looking forward to hearing you and Hamish having a session!

I skipped grade 3 but did the Rigadon and Trio as a GCSE piece and really liked it.

The Romance is nice too.
