Yesterday Skylark and I were talking about sorting a strings ensemble for the Leeds forum concert. The big thread seemed a bit of an unweildy place to chat about it so I thought maybe we could discuss it in this forum. Hope that's ok.

I need to get a sense of who wants to play and what instrument. Also, if anyone has preferences for the kind of music you want to play.

Meerkat I know you meant well, but I'm sorry - this thread is not helpful to me at all. It is simply causing me now to have to double-check what people are saying here against the information I am already working with, plus, there is the danger that people might PM you that they are coming without telling me - and I am trying very hard to get an idea of potential numbers.

I know it seemed like a good idea, but having brought it to the attention of the the Strings forum, do you think we could just leave it that people will either contribute to the official Leeds Forum Concert thread or PM me in the first instance?

I'm sure as an organiser yourself, you will see the sense in this.
