Hello
I want to get a violin of my own soon (I;m currently hiring one) and from waht everyone says, the gligas are the best.
But I'm not sure what to get: I'm a beginner so don't wanna spend THAT much money.
So is there much between a Genial (the £175 model) or a Gama?
What is the difference and how much better is the Gama?

Yes there is a huge difference. However, whether it is worth you spending the extra rather depends on your playing standard, how far you want the violin to take you, and so on. A genial 1 is far more than adequate for a beginner.

Ok.
Seeing as there is only about £75 between a genial and a gama, I'm guessing it would be false economy to get a genial?
Right?

O you mean a Gems then, not a Gama. But yes there is a noticeable difference between a Genial and a Gems.

There's £75 difference between a genial and a GEMS.. the Gama's a bit more after that.

I know because mine arrives tomorrow and I'm so excited I keep telling everyone all about it!!!

I'd give elidatrading a call and talk to Liz if I were you. Say what your aims/expectations are and she'll give you an honest opinion from what she knows of her products. She might have something used that would suit you too.
