Full Version: String Players Desperately Needed

Dear everyone

in case you haven't seen the thread in General Music, we (Barry-Clari, Boo Radley and I) are trying to set up an opportunity to make a Forums CD.

Lots of wind players have signed up, so we string players are SERIOUSLY outnumbered.

So I need recruits to help redress the balance.

Details here.

I might be interested - if it isn't too expensive... sad.gif

The more people who participate, the lower the cost will be. I can't give exact figures at this stage, though.

Same here.
Also, the viola part(s) would have to be reasonably interesting.

As one of the composers featured is Boo Radley, who is a violist, I think we can safely say the viola parts will not be dull.....

I can cello.

Do you know where the recording will take place? cool.gif

Hi PV, thanks very much for your interest, it would be wonderful to have you on board. The viola parts of my compositions carry the melody quite frequently. I can email you a screenshot of the viola part along with an mp3 of one or two if you would like. smile.gif

Liz - If you can make it, that would be great too! I imagine it will be central England, somewhere that is not too far from everyone.

Yes please could you email me a screenshot / mp3 of one or two Boo. I don't mean to sound picky but I get asked to play in quite a lot of things and as I have limited time I have to be selective.

I'm up for it date permitting !

Anymore thoughts on where ?

Thanks, I'm from Preston. Let me know when and I'll see if I can do it. I would like to play viola if that's ok, but would do violin if you were stuck. Liz

I would take part... it's just that I'm two and a half hours on a plane far from England... sleep.gif
