My school string group Spicato are playing this piece, and I totally adore it. There are so many parts that surpass brilliance. Call me cheesy, but seriously, it's a crazily awesome work. I could rant on and on, but I'll just vote instead.



*LOVE SUMMER*

Whoooo yeah! Summer is an amazing piece! Definitely my favourite of the Vivaldi seasons, and probably my second favourite piece of all time (Le Onde coming first of course)! I'd love to have the chance to play it, but our school group has a looooooooong way to go before they're anywhere near that standard!

Don't worry, our group has nine people and next year these people will be gone ...

All four of our violins are leaving for university
One (of two) viola who just had to take up a music scholarship in America
One (of two) cellist.

= 6/9 gone!

So out of a group of nine, there will only be an original viola, cello and double bass left. Sad, huh? Not to be pessimistic, but next year's group won't be seeing the Summer music....ever.... so we'll have a long way to go too
