**^-^Steinway & Strings^-^**
Hi, Andy himself tell me to post it for him.
He's been sick for one day after watching the Xryion Trio Performance at the town hall, he says that because of the terrible air-conditioning and the fact that there are so many people in there, he was sick after that. We currently still do not know what sickness is he having, he seemed to be having a high fever, feeling dizzy but no sore throat, no running nose. He said that it is extremely unusual to be sick like this. Very unfortunately that his viola exam's coming up two days later (friday). Please anyother Christians pray for him. Let's wish that he recovers before his viola exam. unsure.gif

Please pass on my prayers and best wishes - hope he recovers quickly, especially as he was so excited about the concert in the first place. The real chocolate dog sends wags!

Hope you get well soon smile.gif.

Good luck with the exam if you make it; if not get a doctor's note and you might then be able to get a replacement exam for free when you're feeling better.

PS. Noodle, Shelton said to take a week off, not a year unsure.gif
shelton
No.......I originally put year but then changed it to week as year was supposed to be funny but it wasn't very funny at all. Sorry about the confusion.

Hey, I'm a pianist not a comic.

Oh, I see! I hadn't seen your original post.

Now you come to mention it, a year off sounds rather good! smile.gif But I fear it may be a bit too long for our Andy.

Thanks Christina for posting this for me... sad.gif I had been quite sick with virual infection after the concert... (damn that town hall, no air conditioning but fully packed with people!!) I went to see the doctor today and she told me that I'll be fine, but said that I'll take about 3 or 4 more days to fully recover... unsure.gif So I'll just leave my exam to my Lord, can't really help it if I can't do well, I'll try my best anyway. Thanks all for your concern, I see kindness in this forum,I really do.

I (dimly, through a dazed haze) remember my Grade 7 piano exam. I came down with flu a couple of days before, was running high temp etc - in the end my mum stuck me in a cold bath before the exam to cool me down a bit! Worst bit was the aurals - had very little voice so had to whistle ;-)

Keep on the panadol and lots of fluids, and do your best on the day - that's all that can be asked however well you are.

(You're in NZ aren't you 1210? I'm here too at the moment. Crummy weather you're having...)
tk@violin+piano
i often get sick when music exam is coming... laugh.gif

anyway, hope he/she get well soon smile.gif

Wow, thanks for letting us know it worked!

I was SO ill on the day of my grade 7 sax, like someone else here I had deep flu, raging temperature etc. I spent half the morning throwing up and couldn't eat anything, then in the exam I was really dizzy and achy. I knew my sickness had cost me 7 or 8 marks in silly errors - but I did fine anyway! Hope it all goes well for you.
sarah-flute
Glad to know you have recovered smile.gif

Oh yeah...never notice that...but shouldn't it be yesterday?? Because NZ is like 12 hrs earlier than England. laugh.gif
By the way I finished my viola exam now...
did quite badly but nevermind, marks don't mean anything to me. I was too nervous... I think it really having the passion is better than getting a fasinating mark. I'll wait to see the result and tell you guys after...(but I doubt I can get pass merit... unsure.gif )
nicki_flute
I posted that on the 13th, so yesterday!

I am sure you did better than you thought!

Yes Andy, I have been here since birth. I am an adult learner on piano and my non-musical son (except listening to pop music) is nearly the same age as you.

No, I'm not a uni student... I'm studying form 6 this year in New Zealand. However I wondered if I can enter uni in HK when I come back to HK in one months time...not sure if that's possible though...PS. I probably want to do a degree of Music education....or perhaps Architecture...or perhaps Health Science....or maybe Structure Engineering...

You would have thought Liz would be a very unpopular name!

It isn't unpopular here on the forums anyway.
sarah-flute
Why would you think it would be unpopular??

I don't hear many people around called Liz apart from here.
